VAVA Glasses: Ecological, Handcrafted, Visionary
Founded in Berlin in 2013 by Portuguese designer Pedro Passos da Silva, VAVA draws inspiration from architecture and industrial design, using simple shapes like square, circle, rectangle, and triangle to create austere and simple glasses, inspired by buildings and as pure as geometric abstractions.
VAVA's 2024 collection of sunglasses and eyeglasses is rich in colors like green, orange, and blue.
The frames are made from acetate material produced from cotton fibers and wood pulp, creating an eco-friendly formulation. The performance and aesthetic characteristics remain unchanged, while ensuring a reduced and certified environmental impact.
All of VAVA's lenses are made of crystal. For the brand, only the purity of glass can fully enhance the optical precision of a lens and the durability of its features over time, combined with its transparency.
In a small Italian family-owned factory, VAVA takes pride in creating its collections of sustainable and innovative glasses, conceptual and visionary, sophisticated and minimal. No mass production, just freedom of creation and guaranteed quality.
"We live in a frantic age overloaded with media and digital stimuli, but you are the one in control". VAVA Eyewear asks you to reclaim what fashion should represent: quality, experience, knowledge. Choosing VAVA Eyewear means putting a stop in an overly frenetic society and wearing a product born from the knowledge and artistry of the great masters of handmade eyewear, from traditions passed down from generation to generation.
At Ottica Lucciola, you can find the entire new VAVA 2024 collection. If you love design without compromising sustainability, VAVA is the perfect choice for you.
